WELCOME!

This page is kinda thrown together, essentially because I'm spending more time writing this piece of software than I intend to spend on the web page.
I guess it's kinda like "You ever buy something that looks really cool on the box, but it's crap when you open it?" Well, I'm working less on the box and more on the product. :)
What it is
The Public Access Studio Automation System is, pretty much, just like what it sounds like. It's a simple way to automate small public access stations. It's a character generator, which allows you to create rotating messages, but it's more.
You can play "previews" and so forth in a window while your adverts are running, and when it's time for an event, the system switches to full-screen mode and plays your video!
But that's not all!
Of course, it wouldn't be much of a system if you had to interrupt it to schedule another event, so I made it network friendly! You can make announcement changes, upload new videos, and make scheduling changes without taking the automation system offline! A network connection to the machine is all that you need. The system is even smart enough to relize that you made a change to the database (let's say, for example, that you inserted an event so it was up next), the system would make that change on the next rotation of your advertisement video.
OVERALL
Well, it's a new project, but already there have been some pretty major enhancements (user interface, foreground/background color control, etc.) I realized the need for such a system when I was at an expo and looked at a Tiltrack system for $30,000. It didn't even do character generation, it just played videos. I combined the best of all worlds, in my opinion, Character Generation, the ability to play "mini" advertisement videos (upcoming shows, etc.), automatic "coming up next" show announcements, and scheduling of full-screen video.

Here's some screen shots, if you're interested. If you're interested in the purchase of this system, please E-mail Me

The main announcement screen. - (this is what your viewers see) Advertisement video clips are in the upper-right corner, real-time date and time display, along with a display of the show that's up next!

The Main Editing Screen - You can schedule events and change announcements by selecting one of the options on this screen. You do NOT have to take down the system to edit this; you can edit over a network from another computer!

Event Editor - It doesn't get much simpler than telling it what date and time you wish a video event to occur. Fill in the filename, and the show name. The show name will display on the "up next" section of the announcements screen! When it's time (exactly on the second), the display will switch to full-screen mode, and play your video!

Announcement Editor - Once again, as simple as putting a start and end date (have you ever had to rush down to the station to take an announcement off that already happened? I have!) Additionally, you can determine how many seconds you'd like this particular announcement to display (on a per-announcement basis!) Additionally, you can change the foreground and background colors as well. (Future plans will include the ability to change fonts... and who knows where from there?)
