I don't know about anybody else, but I am *SO* ready for winter to be over. :)
I can't wait to start working in my rose garden again this year. Plus, the house needs painting, the lawn needs work, I should paint the back deck again, and I need to replace both the front and back doors. <Sigh> The joys of owning your own home. But it's all good.

HO HO HO!
Well, happy holidays folks! (Singing) It's the most fattening time, of the year! (/singing) So, even if you're not a religious person, it's always fun to get together with family and friends over the holidays. Santa was pretty good to all of us this year.
Meanwhile, check out www.gregbaughman.com for information about the services that I offer. Parallel is kinda the "Personal" server, whereas the gregbaughman.com takes you to my "business" page.
I offer a variety of computer services, so check it out!

WOOOHOOOO!
Well, after years of dreaming, and hours in a simulator, I actually got to FLY this weekend! I'm not talking just going up in a plane (I've done that many, many times), but actually got to take the controls and go flying! I'm still on an adrenalin rush.... lol

Wow! Well, the cool news is that I was in the Hibbing Daily Tribune for a lecture that I did on internet safety. Although class turnout was low, the fact that it went in Sunday's paper is pretty darned cool, and certainly helped to get the message out a lot better than the small audiance that I had.

If you're wondering why the addition of the Red Ribbon to the page, that's for HIV/Aids Research. With October being "Pink Ribbon" month, people seem to forget that there are other diseases out there. Since I have a friend with the disease, that person was really getting a little miffed it was pink ribbon this, and pink ribbon that. Don't get me wrong, my friend wasn't saying that Breast Cancer research wasn't important as well, but Aids research hardly gets equal billing.
It's been crazy getting everything even close to the way I want it on this page. And I haven't even started on my personal page yet (Greg's page). I told Beth that I would convert her old one over first... which is going to be fun, since she has about a million comic links on there. Don't get me wrong, the online comics are awesome, and hats off to those who do them.
Anyway, over the next few days you'll see the site being "fleshed out" a little more. If you have suggestions, please let me know! I was thinking about a few of these ideas as well:
- A forum where people could ask computer questions
- A guest book (I think that one is important, I just have to find one that works properly with DNN)
I guess I don't know what else I should put on here... so let me know if you have any ideas!
Upcoming projects:
I will be converting the Recipe Repository over to SQL at some point, which will make it a lot nicer, giving the ability to search by ingredient (more properly than it does now), as well as sorting by a bunch of different methods. Since the recipe repository was my first Perl experiment, it is in drastic need of an update.
